The regular meeting of the 2jast Wenatchee Town Council was called
to order by Mayor Forrest Lannove. Present were Councilmen John
McDougall, Art O'Neal, John ,Tells, Si Neher and Clerk Dorotha
McGee.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and stand approved
as read.
The bills were presented to the Council as follows:
Current Expense warrant no. 2053
R.S. Meenach Agency �1416.00
Si Neher made a motion to pay the bill; motion was seconded by
John VIells and passed by a unanimous vote.
John VTells reported that the Arterial project application for lst
btreet was complete and will be sent to the State Highway Dept.
tomorrow. Other projects will be prepared for future use.
Si Neher stated that the East I,Venatchee Water District and the
Douglas County Sewer District no. 1 have applied for Federal Aid
for projects in their respective districts. A Coordinating Com-
mittee has been established to aid in the coordination of an orderly
plan for development of the entire area. John'dells made a motion
to adopt the Resolution for a Master Plan as prepared by the East
Wenatchee Water District and Douglas County Sewer District as they
pertain to the Toim of East denatchee; motion was seconded by Si
Neher and passed by a unanimous vote.
Mayor Lannoye presented Ordinance No. 112 for approval and adoption.
Si Neher made a motion to approve and adopt Ordinance No. 112;
motion was seconded by John Wells and passed by a unanimous vote.
Mayor Lannoye presented a Resolution designating Arterial Streets
for approval and adoption; motion in favor of approval and adoption
was made by John Wells, seconded by John McDougall and passed by
a unanimous vote.
Mayor Lannoye stated that a lawn mower had been given to the Town
by Joe Earhart & Son.
LeRoy Browning, representing the Kiwanis Club, requested permission
for the Club to be alloyed to spray the area near the barbecue pit
to aid in the control of insects. John tiTells made a motion for
the spraying to be allowed; motion was seconded by Art O'Neal and
passed by a unanimous vote.
Mayor Lannoye presented prices for a new tractor -mower; prices as
follows; Tilly Tractor Co. $1,097; Valley Tractor Co. „1,520.00,
Sears Rowbuck & Co. 4915.00. After a general discussion John
McDougall made a motion to table this matter until next meeting;
seconded by Si Neher and passed by a majority vote. Opposed by
John Wells.
Mayor Lannoye appointed Si Neher to represent the Town of East
Wenatchee on the Coordinating Committee.
The starting salary for Lowell bperline, City Attorney, was set
at $125.90 per month by Mayor Lannoye.
John Wells made a motion to adjourn; motion was seconded by Si
Neher and passed by a unanimous vote.
