Present were Councilmen John Wells, Art O'Neal, John McDougall, Si Neher and Clerk Dorotha McGee. ' The minutes of the previous meeting were as read. read and stand approved The bills were presented to the Council as follows: Current expense Warrants nos. 2193 - 2211 Internal Revenue Service $272.75 Employment Security Dept. 227.87 Dept. of Labor & Industries 20.94 Assoc. of Wash. Wenatchee Post Office 10.00 Douglas County P.U.D. 495.00 Cascade Natural Gas Corp. 26.92 North Central Regional Library 491.44 General Telephone Co. 16.00 East Wenatchee Water District 6.00 Shell oil Co. 15.78 The Craftsman, Inc. 3.83 General Telephone Co. 33.25 Wenatchee Police Dept. 14.25 Standard Oil Co. 2.08 L and I Gun Shop 6.00 Wenatchee Farmers Exchange 31.56 Nudelman Bros. 78.05 ' Street Warrants nos. 643 - 647 Internal Revenue Service 64.60 Employment Security Dept. 100.24 Dept. of Labor & Industries 19.79 Wenatchee Farmers Exchange 10.51 Elder Auto Parts, Inc. 6.37 John Wells made a motion to pay the bills; motion seconded by Si Neher and passed by a unanimous vote. Mayor Lannoye requested that John McDougall, Light Commissioner, inspect the lighting on Alvin Ct., with the possibility of installing another street light. He feels that this would be beneficial for the Snow truck. Mayor Lannoye presented a request from Elinor Moore, operator of Minn's tavern, for a Dance License. John Wells made a motion to allow a dance license for Minn's Cavern; motion seconded by John McDougall and passed by a unanimous vote. Mayor Lannoye stated that he will request the City Attorney to contact I. Volotin regarding the Columbia Cabins. Mayor Lannoye requested John Wells, Street Commissioner, begin work on the 6 year Street grogram. ' John Wells made a motion to adjourn; motion seconded by Art O'Neal and passed by a unanimous vote.
