The regular meeting of the East Wenatchee Town Council was called
to order by Mayor Forrest Lannoye. Present were Councilmen Art
O'Neal, Harry Patrick, Arnold Stevens, Clerk Dorotha McGee and
East Wenatchee Police Officers Joe Carl and Charles Walker.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and stand approved
as read.
The bills were presented to the Council as follows:
Current Expense Warrants nos. 2451 - 2453
Internal Revenue Service $285.36
Employment Security Dept. 289.72
Dept, of Labor & Industries 40.84
Street Warrants nos. 696 - 698
Internal Revenue Service 61.74
Employment Security Dept. 79.24
Dept. of Labor & Industries 15.13
Art O'Neal made a motion to pay the bills; motion seconded by
Harry Patrick and passed by a unanimous vote.
Harry Patrick reported that North Main Street has been damaged
near Johnsons Cycle Shop. He stated that he has contacted Mr.
Harry Long in regards to street repair. Mr. Long has promised
to repair the street if the owner of the Cycle Shop does not do so.
A discussion was held regarding a road crossing made on Baker
street by an unidentified person.
Mayor Lannoye inquired if the amendment relating to the Uniform
Building Code Standards has been received from the City Attorney.
The Clerk has not received this amendment.
Mayor Lannoye presented a bid from North Central Chevrolet Co.
for the new Police car. Bid for a 1968 Biscayne, model 15469,
was $799.68; without disk brakes, bid would be reduced by $50.00.
Art O'Neal made a motion to accept the bid for a car equipped
with power brakes instead of disk brakes and deduct the $50.00
from the bid; motion seconded by Harry Patrick and passed by a
unanimous vote.
Mayor Lannoye presented an application from Virg Bozarth for a
game table at Virg's Recreation. Art O'Neal made a motion to
approve the request for a game table; motion seconded by Arnold
Stevens and passed by a unanimous vote.
Art O'Neal made a motion to adjpurn; motion seconded by Harry
Patrick and passed by a unanimous vote.
