The regular meeting of the East Wenatchee Town Council was called
to order by Mayor Forrest Lannoye. Present were Councilmen Art
OTNeal Lawrence Letts, Arnold Stevens, Marry Patrick, Ray Haase
Clerk Lorotha McGee and Chief of Police Joe Carl. '
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and stand approved
as read.

Mayor Lannoye presented a new bail schedule for Police Court, to
the Council. Lawrence Letts made a motion to �dopt the bail
schedule as presented; motion seconded by Ray aase and passed
by a unanimous vote. Effective date to be September 18, 1967.
Dr. Eleanor Snyder, Chelan -Douglas County Health Dept. presented
films regarding public health services furnished to the Town and
Community by the Health Dept. Jim Cage and Alice Hobson spoke to
the Council regarding charges for Health services furnished by
the Health Dept. Dr. Snyder stated that the health Dept. had
reduced its budget and at this time East Wenatchde would probably
be assessed about 4540.00 for 1968.
Mayor Lannoye read a letter from R.A. Hensel regarding filing dates '
for Town Offices. Mayor Lannoye instructed the Clerk to accept
filing until 5:00 p.m. September 22, 1967 and then mail immediately
to the Douglas County Auditor in Waterville.
Mayor Lannoye read a letter from the East Wenatchee Grange requesting
that no liquor be sold on Sunday in East Wenatchee during the
harvest season. Lawrence Letts made a motion to table this request.
Motion seconded by Arnold Stevens and passed by a unanimous vote.
Mayor Lannoye presented specifications for a new police car.
Lawrence Letts made a motion to call for bids for the new car;
motion seconded by Ray Haase and passed by a unanimous vote. Bids
to be opened on October 16, 1967, at 8:00 p.m.
Joe Carl reported that the new Deputy Marshall is working a total
of 4 - 8 hour days per week.
Lawrence Letts made a motion to adjourn; motion seconded by Harry
Patrick and passed by a unanimous vote.
