The regular meeting of the East Wenatchee Town Council was
called to order by Mayor Forrest Lannoye. Present were Council-
men Harry Patrick, Art O'Neal, Arnold Stevens; Clerk Dorotha
McGee and Chief of Police Joe Carl.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and stand approved
as read.
The bills were presented to the Council

Art O'Neal made a motion to pay the bills;
motion seconded by
Harry Patrick and passed by a unanimous
vote.
Mayor Lannoye presented the Preliminary Budget for 1968 to the
Council. Harry Patrick made a motion to approve and adopt the
budget as presented; motion seconded by Art O'Neal and passed by
a unanimous vote.
Mayor Lannoye acknowledged a letter from the East Wenatchee
Chamber of Commerce regarding the East Wenatchee Building Codes
and Fire Zoning. Said letter is on file in the Town Hall.
Mayor Lannoye presented a letter from the Washington Clearing
House Association requesting that no liquor be sold on Sunday
in East Wenatchee. Arnold Stevens made a motion to take no action
at the present time. Mr. Stevens withdrew his motion. "£ter a
discussion, the Council decided to table the matter at this time.
Mayor Lannoye presented a letter from the Douglas County Commiss-
ioners regarding their approval of Plan A for the proposed bridge
across the Columbia river.
Mayor Lannoye stated that Chief Joe Carl has requested a part time
policeman. No decision was reached at this time.
Harry Patrick made a motion to adjourn; motion seconded by Art
O'Neal and passed by a unanimous vote.
