Present were Council- men Harry Patrick, Art O'Neal, Arnold Stevens; Clerk Dorotha McGee and Chief of Police Joe Carl. f The minutes of the previous meeting were read and stand approved as read. The bills were presented to the Council as follows; Current Expense Warrants nos. 2403 - 2427 George F. Cake Co. $ 12.10 Natl. Liek 274.21 Wenatchee Farmers Exchange 10.05 Art O'Neal made a motion to pay the bills; motion seconded by Harry Patrick and passed by a unanimous vote. Mayor Lannoye presented the Preliminary Budget for 1968 to the Council. Harry Patrick made a motion to approve and adopt the budget as presented; motion seconded by Art O'Neal and passed by a unanimous vote. Mayor Lannoye acknowledged a letter from the East Wenatchee Chamber of Commerce regarding the East Wenatchee Building Codes and Fire Zoning. Said letter is on file in the Town Hall. Mayor Lannoye presented a letter from the Washington Clearing House Association requesting that no liquor be sold on Sunday in East Wenatchee. Arnold Stevens made a motion to take no action at the present time. Mr. Stevens withdrew his motion. "£ter a discussion, the Council decided to table the matter at this time. Mayor Lannoye presented a letter from the Douglas County Commiss- ioners regarding their approval of Plan A for the proposed bridge across the Columbia river. Mayor Lannoye stated that Chief Joe Carl has requested a part time policeman. No decision was reached at this time. Harry Patrick made a motion to adjourn; motion seconded by Art O'Neal and passed by a unanimous vote. ayor Cler r�
