The regular meeting of the East Wenatchee Town Council was called to order by Mayor
Pro-tem Art O'Neal. Present were Councilmen Harry Patrick, Si Neher, Lawrence Letts,
'Ray Haase and Clerk Dorotha McGee.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and amended as follows: paragraph per-
taining to Ordinance No. 122 should read parking will be restricted on the west side
of North Bain Street from 9th Street to Adams Street.
The bills were presented to the Council as follows:
Current Expense Warrants nos. 2370 - 2372
Internal Revenue Service $286.03
Employment Security Dept. 267.92
Dept. of Labor & Industries 33.85
Street Warrants nos. 681 - 683
Internal Revenue Service 61.07
Employment Security Dept, 75.82
Dept. of Labor & Industries 15.30
Lawrence Letts made a motion to pay the bills; motion seconded by Harry Patrick and
passed by a unanimous vote.
Art O'Neal reported that the Park has been sprayed.
Lawrence Letts requested that a voucher for $10.50 be presented at the next meeting;
said amount is East Wenatchee's portion of assessment for the Chelan -Douglas Regionl
Planning Council.
Si Neher reported that he and Harry Patrick attended the Technical Committee meetin.-
at the State Highway Department. He explained the supplemental plans A and B to the
Council members. The Technical Committee requests that the Council submit its recommenda-
tion for either Plan A or Plan B for location of the proposed bridge across the Colum-
bia river. After a general discussion, Lawrence Letts made a motion to approve Plan A
for the following reasons; less total cost and less cost to Douglas County for connecting
roadways; motion seconded by Ray Har.se and passed by a unanimous vote.
Lawrence Letts was excused at this time to attend the meeting of the Chelan -Douglas
Planning Council.
Mayor Pro-tem Art O'Neal presented Ordinance No. 123 to the Council. Said Ordinance
pertains to the regulation of entertainment by and the dress of female employees in
establishments where intoxicating liquors are sold. Si Neher made a motion to approve
Ordinance No. 123; motion seconded by Harry Patrick and passed by a unanimous vote.
Randy Chinn from the Bright Moon Restaurant, requested the Councils permission to allow
go-go dancers at the Bright Moon. Si Neher stated that the Council has denied this
request at the last meeting. Art O'Neal told Mr. Chinn that he could present an appli-
cation at the next meetii:g.
Si Neher made a motion to adjourn; motion seconded by Harry Patrick and passed by a
unanimous vote.
