The regular meeting of the East Wenatchee Town Council was called
to order by Mayor Forrest Lannoye. Present were Councilmen Harry
Patrick, hay Haase, Lawrence Letts, Clerk Dorotha McGee, and City
Attorney John Carlson.
Lawrence Letts made a motion to approve the minutes of the May 6,
and May 8, 1968 meetings; motion seconded by Harry Patrick and
passed by a unanimous vote.
Mayor Lannoye presented a statement from the Chelan -Douglas Health
District for $$432.00. Lawrence Letts made a motion to pay the bill
under protest; motion seconded by Ray Haase and passed by a unanim-
ous vote.
Mayor Lannoye stated that Virg's Recreation is 3 months delinquent
in payment of amusement taxes. The City Attorney will contact
owner Virg Bozarth by letter regarding payment.
Harry Patrick reported that irrigation water is standing on Simon
street. Mr. Patrick will contact the property owner with regards
to possible methods for keeping the water off of the roadway.
John MCDougall inquired about the proposed annexation. Mayor
Lannoye stated that to date the town has not requested an election.
George Jackson reported on adverse traffic conditions near his ,
home on Main street. The Mayor explained the hours worked by Joe
Carl and the fact that Charles Walker has been in Police school.
He will return to work next Monday and the police car will be on
the streets both day and night shifts.
Ray Haase made a motion to adjourn; motion seconded by Harry ratrick
and passed by a unanimous vote.
