The regular meeting of the East Wenatchee Town Council was called
to order by Mayor Forrest Lannoye. Present were Councilmen Harry
Patrick, Lawrence Letts, Ray Haase and Clerk Dorotha McGee.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved with
the following correction as requested by Lawrence Letts; Mayor
Lannoye and Ray Haase inquired of Art OfNeal as to his reason
for abstaining to vote regarding the matter of the letter for
Philip Van Meter. Mr. O'Neal would give no reason.
Harry Patrick reported that the Douglas County Road Department
can now make new stop signs for approxiamtely $12.00 each, and
repaint others for $8.00. He wishes to use some new signs on the
Arterials. He also stated that the Street Department needs some
new speed limit signs to meet the traffic codes.
Mayor Lannoye reported that Mott Liek became ill last Friday
night and since that time The Douglas County Road Department and
Harry Patrick have helped sand the streets and plow snow.
Mayor Lannoye commended both for their cooperation.
Lawrence Letts reported that the East Wenatchee Planning Commission
met last Thursday and elected their officials as follows;
Chairman, John Monroe; Vice Chairman, Dennis Irish; Secretary,
Mrs. Dora Faye Davis. The Planning Commission will meet with
the Town Council soon. I
Ray Haase stated that the street light at Pace St. and Highline
Drive had been out due to a faulty timer.
Mayor Lannoye appointed John Carlson as Police Judge pro-tem
for the month of February 1968.
Harry Patrick made a motion to adjourn; motion seconded by Ray
Haase and passed by a unanimous vote.
