Present at the regular meeting of the East Wenatchee Town Council
were the following: Councilmen Art O?Neal, Harry Patrick, Ray
Haase, Lawrence Letts, Arnold Stevens; Attorney John Carlson and '
Clerk Dorotha McGee,
Ray Haase made a motion to appoint Lawrence Letts, Nlayor pro-tem,
motion seconded by Arnold Stevens and passed by a unanimous vote.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and stand approved
as read.
The bills were presented to the Council as follows:

Ray Haase made a motion to pay the bills; motion seconded by Art
O'Neal and passed by a unanimous vote.
Lawrence Letts read a letter from the Chelan Douglas Health District
regarding a request for East Wenatchee to sign the contract with
said district. Lawrence Letts suggested leaving the discussion
open until a later date.
Arnold Stevens repgrted that he has contacted Wenatchee Officials
regarding use of the dog pound. Wenatchee Officials will contact
Mr. Stevens with their proposal for East Wenatchee.
John Carlson presented Ordinance No. 1329 to the Oouncil. Ordinance
No. 132 is for the establishment of a Library Building Fund with
the funds from the Holmberg estate. Ordinance No. 132 was tabled
until John Carlson can contact Mr. Anderson and inquire as to the
possibility of East Wenatchee using the money to purchase a
building.
John Carlson suggested that East Wenatchee and Manson negotiate
the division of the real estate contracts. Ray Haase made a motion
to give the Mayor the authority to negotiate said contracts with
Manson representatives; motion seconded by Arnold Stevens and
passed by a unanimous vote.
Ray Haase requested permission to install a light at So. Baker St.
near the animal clinic. After a discussion the Council members
decided not to have the light installed at this time.
Ray Haase made a motion to adjourn; motion seconded by Art O'Neal
and passed by a unanimous vote.
