HomeMy WebLinkAbout8/5/1968 - City Council - City Council Meeting MinutesAugust 5, 1968 The regular meeting of the East Wenatchee Town Council was called to order by Mayor Forrest Lannoye. Present were Councilmen Art O'Neal, Lawrence Letts, Harry Patrick; Clerk Dorotha McGee and Town Attorney John Carlson. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and stand approved as read. Liek 235.51 Security Bank of Washington 28.00 Wenatchee Farmers Exchange 21.45 Lawrence Letts made a:motion to pay the bills with the exception of the bill from the Eastmont Animal Clinic motion seconded by Art O'Neal and passed by a unanimous vote. 1 1 Mayor Lannoye read the resignation of Mrs. Davis from the East Wenatchee Planning Commission. Lawrence Letts made a motion to accept this resignation with regrets; motion seconded by Art O'Neal and padded by unanimous vote. Lawrence Letts requested that a letter of appreciation be sent to Mrs. Davis. Mayor Lannoye asked the Council for names of prospective members for the planning commission. Names to be submitted within the next week. Mayor Lannoye presented Ordinance No. 130 to the Council for approval. Ordinance no. 130 relates to the adoption of the State traffic codes, 1967 edition. Lawrence tptts made a motion to approve and adopt Ordinance no. 130; motion seconded by Art O'Neal and passed by a unanimous vote. Mayor Lannoye presented the prospectus for the Main Street improvement to the Council for study. Lawrence Letts made a motion to approve the plan subject to the approval of Mayor Lannoye; motion seconded by Harry Patrick and passed by a unanimous vote.
