The regular meeting of the East Wenatchee Town Council was called
to order by Mayor Forrest Lannoye. Present were Councilmen Harry
Patrick, Art O'Neal, Dick Morrill, Arnold Stevens, Ray Haase;
Attorney John Carlson, Charles Walker and Clerk Dorotha McGee.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read•.
Mayor Lannoye and the Council discussed the purchase of a pick-up
from Bob Clardy for $650.00. All agreed that this purchase was
necessary.
The bills were presented to the Council as follows:

Ray Haase made a motion to pay the bills; motion seconded by Dick
Morrill and passed unanimously.
Charles Walker reported a street light out near 6th street. Ray
Haase was asked to check the location and determine if the light
belongs to the State Highway Dept,
Art O'Neal reported attending the dinner honoring the memory of
David Holmberg. He suggested that the town purchase a copy of
the forthcoming book regarding the life of Mr. Holmberg, for use
in the future town library. Arnold Stevens will report on the
cost of the book.
Mayor Lannoye presented Resolution no. 1015 to the Council.
Resolution no. 1015 will increase the budget of the Police Dept.
by $815.00. Said increase is considered to be an emergency.
Arnold Stevens made a motion to approve and pass Resolution no.
1015; motion seconded by Art O'Neal and passed unanimously.
Art O'Neal read a letter from the Douglas County Commissioners
regarding the establishment of a Pollution Control Commission for
Douglas County. As the largest town in the county, East Wenatchee
is entitled to a member on the Commission. Ray Haase made a motion
to appoint Dick Morrill to the Pollution Control Commission; motion
seconded by Arnold Stevens and passed unanimously.
' Mayor Lannoye expressed his appreciation to Harry Patrick for his
service to the town, as a Councilman and Street Commissioner,
Ray Haase made a motion to adjourn; motion seconded by Art O'Neal
and passed unanimously.
