The regular meeting of the East Wenatchee City Council was called to
order by Mayor Forrest Lannoye. Present were Councilmen Doug Hanna,
Ed Rich, Art O'Neal; Attorney John Carlson and Clerk Dorotha McGee.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read.
The bills were presented to the Council as follows:

Doug Hanna made amotion to pay the bills with the exception of the
bill from Munson -Dash -Futrell for $750.00; seconded by Ed Rich and
passed unanimously.
Mayor Lannoye reported receiving complaints regarding ice on the
streets at the intersection of 9th & U.S. 2 and on the street near
the Savings & Loan building near the highway intersection. He stated
that sanding in above locations should be done by the State Highway
Dept., but the city will continue to sand said areas when possible.
Mayor Lannoye presented the final budget for 1971 for public hearing.
Presented with final budget was Ordinance no. 161; regarding adoption
of the budget. Ed Rich made a motion to approve and pass the final
budget and ordinance no. 161; seconded by Art O'Neal and passed
unanimously.
Mayor Lannoye presented Resolution no. 1024; said resolution increases
the street budget. Ed Rich made a motion to pass resolution no. 1024;
seconded by Art O'Neal and passed unanimously.
Mayor requested that Cliff Tvedten obtain copies of the T.V. and
telephone underground locations on Main street.
Police
The Mayor and Councilmen discussed the proposed merchantTservice in
East Wenatchee. Merchant Police are requested to attend the next
Council meeting.
Art O'Neal reported receiving a complaint from Lloyd Taylor regarding
stray cats at Mobile Park Plaza.
