The regular meeting of the East Wenatchee City Council was called
to order by Mayor Forrest Lannoye. rresent were Councilmen Cliff
Tvedten, Art OTNeal, Arnold Stevens, Doug Fianna, Ed Rich, Attorney
John Carlson, Joe Carl and Clerk Dorotha McGee.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved with the following
admendment; the variance for the Sperline Ellis building is to
conform to the building codes.
The bills were presented to the Council as follows:
U.A.B. Warrants nos. 74 - 75
L.H. and Samantha Fraley 500.00
John C. Carlson 1,250.00
Arnold Stevens made a motion to pay the bills; seconded by Ed
Rich and passed unaninously.
Mayor Lannoye read a letter from the East Wenatchee Water Listrict
stating payment had been made to their department by Moore
Sanitary Contt. Co.
A Public Hearing was held, as published, for Ordinance No. 157.
Ordinance no. 157 is in regards to the vacation of a portion of
of a street behind Grange Supply Co. Arnold Stevens made a motion
to approve and pass Ordinance Fo. 157; seconded by Cliff Tvedten
' and passed unanimously.

A Public Hearing, as published, on Ordinance No. 158; Ordinance
no. 158 is in regards to rezoning a parcel of land from Residential
Commercial to General Commercial. Application for said rezoning was
presented by Center Investments, Inc. Doug Hanna made a motion to
approve and pass Ordinance no. 158; seconded by Ed Rich and passed
unanimously.
Joe Carl discussed with the Mayor and Council, the possibility of
the city hiring an employee to work for the Street and Police
department. Mayor Lannoye stated that he had interviewed an
applicant for the street work. Costs incurred for an additional
employee were discussed. Arnold Stevens, Cliff Tvedten, Doug
Hanna and Ed Rich spoke in favor of hiring a man for a three month
trial period, for both the Street and Police Dept, Art OfNeal
spoke in favor of hiring a part time employee for the street Dept.

John Carlson and the Council discussed the preparation of a
Criminal Code for the City.
Arnold Stevens made a motion to adjourn; seconded by Cliff Tvedten
and passed unanimously.
