The regular meeting of the East Wenatchee City Council was called to
order by Mayor Forrest Lannoye. Present were Councilmen Art O'Neal,
Cliff Tvedten, Ed Rich, Arnold Stevens; attorney John Carlson and
Clerk llorotha McGee.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read.
The bills were presented to the Council as +ollows:

Arnold Stevens made a motion to pay the bills; seconded by Ed Rich
and.passed unanimously.
Ed Rich reported that work on the Main street project should be
resumed by Monday.
Mayor Lannoye presented the agreement for 1971 with the Chelan
Douglas Health District. The amount assessed for the City is $939.00,
but Arnold.Stevens stated that this may be less if the District
receives funds from another agency. Art O'Neal made a motion to
authorize the Mayor to sign the agreement for $939.00, subject to
revision; seconded by Cliff Tvedten and passed unanimously.
The Mayor and Council discussed the purchase of a snow plow , serial
(no. 23B4-18) from the State Highway Department. Ed Rich made a
motion to purchase said snow plow; seconded by Cliff Tvedten and
passed unanimously.
The Council discussed the problem with irrigation water on Baker St.
After a discussion, the Council set the 1971 tax levy at 15 mills.
The Clerk will so notify the County Commissioners.
John Carlson presented Ordinance No. 156 to the Mayor and Council.
Ordinance no. 156 established parallel parking and time limits for
parking on Main Street. Arnold Stevens made a motion to approve and
pass Ordinance no. 156; seconded by Cliff Tvedten and passed unanimously.
Mayor Lannoye presented prices for street signs from the State Sign
Co. and Douglas County. After a discussion, the Council decided to
purchase said signs from Douglas County.
Mayor Lannoye stated that the transmission in the G.M.C. truck is
in need of repair. The Council members authorized Forrest Lannoye
to do this work.
Art O'Neal made a motion to adjourn; seconded by Arnold Stevens
and passed unanimously.
