HomeMy WebLinkAbout8/3/1970 - City Council - City Council Meeting MinutesAugust 3, 1970 The regular meeting of the East Wenatchee City Council was called to order by Mayor Forrest Lannoye. Present were Councilmen Ed Rich Art O'Neal, Doug Hanna, Arnold Stevens, Cliff Tvedten and Clerk Dorotha McGee. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read. The City Council members discussed the two bids for a front end loader submitted to the Council at the previous meeting. After said discussion, Ed Rich made a motion to purchase the loader from Rowand Machinery Co. for a price of $$5,827.50; seconded by Cliff Tvedten and passed unanimously. A Public Hearing was held on Ordinance No. 155. Said Ordinance is in regards to the vacation of a city street. Ed Rich made a motion to approve and pass Ordinance No. 155; seconded by Doug Hanna and passed unanimously. Mayor Lannoye reported that the County Road Dept. has not completed cost estimates for surfacing the parking lot.
