The regular meeting of the East Wenatchee City Council was called to
order by Mayor Forrest Lannoye. Present were Councilmen Art O'Neal,
Ed Rich, Doug Hanna, Cliff Tvedten, Arnold Stevens; Attorney John
Carlson and Clerk Dorotha McGee.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read.
The bills were presented to the Council as follows:

Doug Hanna made a motion to pay the bills; seconded by Art O'Neal
and passed unanimously.
Art O'Neal stated that due to vandalism in the park restrooms, the
rooms will be locked. He requested a statement be published in the
Daily World regarding the reason for the closure.
' Ed Rich reported that the Telephone and T.V. Cable Co. are installing
underground cable on the Vain Street project. Mayor Lannoye stated
that Moore Const. Co. has been doing an excellent job of keeping the
street open to traffic, however the telephone co. is closing the
road, not marking road closures properly and keeping road closed
unduly long.
Mayor Lannoye reported that the specifications for a street sweeper
will be ready for the July 6th meeting.
A Public Hearing was held on the 6 year Comprehensive Street Plan.
Ed Rich made a motion to approve and pass the 6 year plan; seconded
by Art O'Neal and passed unanimously.
Mayor Lannoye stated that Federal and State Law requires that the
city have a solid waste comprehensive plan. Costs for the city to
participate with the county in such plan would be approximately
ten to thirty five dollars. After a discussion, the Council
decided to participate with Douglas County.
A discussion was held regarding the size of building lots within the
city. The Council decided that size of any lots in new plats, will
be the same as the County.
John Carlson presented Ordinance No. 152 to the Council. Ordinance
No. 152 is in regards to licensing Cabarets and costs. A Cabaret
Music license (live music only) will cost $150.00 per year. A
Cabaret Dance license (dancing with any type of music) will cost
$250.00 per year; Arnold Stevens made a motion to approve and pass
